Call to Artists: Long Man Fest

Long Man Fest (translation of the Cherokee word Agiqua - known today as the French Broad River)

This is a local outdoor festival located along the French Broad River. Vendor booths will be conveniently located at the entrance of the festival to ensure exposure. There will be: 

- A beer tent

- A kids zone 

- Food trucks

- A 1mi raft trip 

- Live music with two stages

When: 12-8pm, Saturday, October 13th

The vendor fee is $50.00 and is due upon vendor acceptance. They'll accept payment in the form of cash, check, direct credit card or PayPal.

3rd Annual Art in Autumn Festival

The Weaverville Business Association has put out a call for artists for the 3rd Annual Art in Autumn Juried Arts and Crafts Show, to be held Saturday, September 19, 2009, 10am -5pm, in downtown Weaverville, North Carolina.

Applications are being accepted from artists working in any of the following mediums: Basketry, Clay, Digital Art, Drawing, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metal, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Wood.

A $1000 cash prize will be awarded for Best in Show, with additional cash prizes for second place, third place, and honorable mentions.

Deadline to enter is May 15, 2009 and the show can accommodate up to 100 artists.
